~During the last night of their senior year in Monster High, Dia's bullies thought it would be a hilarious idea to ambush them while they were out. They attacked Minos first, 8 against 1. He was outnumbered. Minos, unable to fend them off, fell. As Dia witnessed him fall, something snapped in her; perhaps it was the years of constant abuse and harassment, but it was all too much for her to handle. Dia lost all sense of morality and became what she feared the most. She broke limbs and tore flesh… and when Minos regained consciousness, he saw Dia (or something that vaguely looked like her moving) about to end the lives of their attackers. Minos cried out, pleading for her to stop. He managed to bring Dia back to her senses. In a few minutes, ambulances, police cars, and heavily armed soldiers arrived. They dragged Dia away. The government threatened the families of the attackers to keep quiet on what had happened. For the next couple of months, Dia was locked inside a cell where government officials and a team of scientists (which her adoptive father lead) were discussing what to do with her. The officials believed Dia was a threat, and that she should be exterminated immediately, but Dia’s father, distraught because of his daughter’s situation, pleaded for another option. The only one other solution was to move her to a place far away from civilization. Dia would spend the rest of her life in a heavily guarded prison where she isn’t allowed to make any physical contact with anyone, and would only be allowed to speak to her father. Her father thought this was for the best and that she’d at least be safe. As the meeting ended Dia’s phone rang in the head scientist’s pocket. Minos had been calling and texting constantly ever since she was pulled away from him. The young man was so worried sick about her. The scientist felt sorry for the boy. He texted the boy what was going to happen to Dia. That he may not be able to see or talk to her ever again, but he would still be able to write letters to her. Minos was heart broken to hear the news, but he wasn’t going to give up. He told the doctor that he’d find a way to see her again. For the next 6 years, Dia and Minos wrote to one another. Though Dia was lonely, disconnected and was rarely able to sleep due to being the only one in the prison, the prison was clean and she had everything she needed to keep herself occupied, including a greenhouse where she tended to her garden. Minos had obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Music and was making a name for himself in the underground music industry. Then one day, Minos got a call from Dia’s father. He asked Minos if he wished to see Dia. Ecstatic, Minos was quick to say yes. With the money he had and the location given to him by Dia’s father, he was able to meet up with the scientist. They drove to where the prison was located, and, after being questioned multiple times by the guards, Minos was finally able to see Dia. There she sat reading on the other side of the thick glass wall that separated them. She looked up from her book and her expression was that of shock. This was Dia’s father’s present to her, as it took him years to convince the officials to allow Minos to see her if only to make her smile again. Minos and Dia had a tearful reunion and talked for hours, both badly wanting to hold the other in their arms. When it was time for them to leave, Minos told Dia that he’ll find a way to free her from this prison, no matter what. Minos eventually came up with a brilliant idea: to gather all monsters to sign a petition supporting and proving Dia’s innocence. Many months passed, and the story had spread like [insert monster high related pun here or wildfire]. Monsters and creatures from all around the world became incredibly vocal about the imprisonment of a monster who had acted in self defense against their offender. There were many protests crying out to the government to free Dia. The force of the masses greatly pressured the government. With the power of millions of monsters and creatures gathered, they had a chance to free Dia. And they did. Dia was finally released the following year. On the day of her release, Dia walked outside, and, under the clear blue sky, there stood Minos. He kneeled down, and propose to her. She gave him the brightest smile and said yes. And the rest is history.
Hope you like it.
